Dump Your Tassimo--Buy One of These, April 29, 2011 By This review is from: Nespresso CitiZ D110 Espresso Maker, Creamy White (Kitchen) After many years of being faithful Tassimo customers, we finally gave up on them: The quality of their products deteriorated until we could take it no more: The machines--we went through three of them; the coffee discs--more Seattle's Best Henry's Blend discs exploded than worked; the Home Delivery Service was extremely unreliable--we ran out of coffee many times because our standing order could not be filled and then we finally went two full months without a shipment because of backorders; and most recently, the varieties of coffee available has diminished and the selection is pitiful. What to do???
After much thought and investigation--because no other machine does exactly what the Tassimo machine did (make coffee and tea and froth milk from the same spout), we decided on the Nesspresso CitiZ.
What a gem of a machine! What wonderful coffee! What wonderful choices! If you read the accompanying literature and get yourself into the whole sensual experience... Read more

I didn't like the feeling of being held to corporate pods and I resisted the "idiot-proof" nature of a machine like this, but I accepted the fact that I am not interested in coffee enough to master hard core barista techniques so I took the plunge with this machine.
It was a great decision. This machine is beautiful, functional, easy to use and makes fantastic espresso, cappuccino and latte drinks consistently and I highly recommend it. If you dont have access to a Nespresso Boutique for your pod purchases you can get very fast delivery from their online store with reasonable shipping (but I think it should be free).
I also debated a long time between this machine and the one with the attached milk frothing device. I decided to buy that separately because I didnt want the machine to take up too much counter space and the separate frother can be stored in the cupboard.

I started researching espresso machines after I figured out that my daily trips to Starbucks were costing close to $1,000 per year. Yikes! Not only is this machine MUCH faster than your average barrista, it also makes a way better espresso.
Ordering the capsules is not a big deal and they arrive very quickly. I recycle mine with my aluminum.
This machine couldn't be simpler and it's saving me a ton of money. I'm beyond thrilled with my Citiz.
